      Release Notes 2024

      Release 24.49

      Updates

      • Purolator, Canpar, Loomis, and GLS carriers can now be selected as Fulfillment carrier options for Canadian merchants.
      • For retailers using Workstand POS who also host their website with us, consumers can now filter products by availability on the product list page on the front end of your website.
      • If Services include a time estimate, that time is now visible on the Work Order list view.

      Bug Fixes

      • For Lightspeed point of sale users, sale prices set as a price level will now correctly update sale prices on your website.
      • When printing a price label in Purchase Orders, you can now attempt to print more than one time.
      • Reports are now visible  for retailers only using Workstand POS, without a hosted site.
      • The 'Error loading tasks' message no longer displays and the Home screen renders correctly upon log in to admin.

      Release 24.48

      Updates

      • For retailers using new checkout the Colorado Retail Delivery Fee can now be collected.
      • For retailers using Workstand POS you can no edit a comment added to a Special Order in a sale.
      • When adding a product that is out of stock to an in-store sale, you will now receive a reminder if no customer is associated with the transaction.
      • From the Sale screen you can now click on the Register in the upper right corner of the sale and select your register, or navigate to Settings > Hardware settings to configure the register.

      Bug Fixes

      • For retailers using new checkout, consumers will no longer receive an error when using auto-fill to enter phone number.
      • The generation time for the Google Local product file has been extended to ensure that all relevant data is accurately included.

      Release 24.47

      • When a product name contains + the character will now properly display.

      Updates

      • When downloading an inventory file, the product GTIN and SKU are now included for easier reference to actual products.
      • For retailers using Workstand POS, permissions to access Hardware settings can now be selected  for each user.
      • When creating a Work Order, if time estimate has been added to Services, the total of all services associated with the work order are now visible below the list of services and products added.
      • The Hardware Settings page now includes descriptive text on how to use the page.

      Release 24.46

      Bug Fixes

      1. When emailing a receipt from the Sales Screen the Customer Notes section no longer displays if no customer notes exist.
      2. Order notifications are once again being sent from the correct retailer email address.
      3. The Bulk Product Upload process will now send an email to the logged-in user with number of products created, and number with errors.

      Updates

      1. When printing product labels from the Purchase Order screen, retailers will now receive a warning message if the product does not have a GTIN, and allow them to add one before printing the label.
      2. The store address is now included when sending a refund email to a consumer.

      Release 24.45

      Bug Fixes

      1. When creating a purchase order the Date Ordered field will now display a date picker so you can select the correct date.
      2. For retailers using new checkout, when there is an error, a friendlier error message will display.
      3. When processing an exchange on the Sales screen and there is a refund due the correct refund amount is now displayed.
      4.  When the Avant Garde font is selected in the Theme Editor, it now displays accurately across all sections of the website.

      1. A new Hardware section has been added in Settings so that retailers can select the credit card terminal and receipt printer associated with each shop computer.

      Release 24.44

      Bug Fixes

      1. For retailers utilizing our point of sale system, Special Orders will now be displayed without duplicates in the list view.
      2. Customers can now be removed from an in-store sale, provided there are no associated special orders or work orders.
      3. When viewing an in-store sale, clicking on the In-store sales list will correctly return you to the list view.

      1. For retailers using new Sales for e-commerce,  the shipping address can now be changed  without changing the customer record.

       

      Release 24.43

      Updates

      1. Workstand POS can now transfer basic sale data directly to QuickBooks.
      2. When receiving Purchase Orders, and email will now be sent to the logged in user if there are any errors with product or inventory updates.
      3. When there’s a store credit balance, the option to use it as payment will appear for an in-store sale, even when the credit is less than the total amount due.

      Bug Fixes

      1. When uploading a product file there is now a message stating that the upload is in progress. An email will be sent to the logged in user upon completion.
      2. The Google shopping feeds are now generating daily as expected.

      Release 24.42

      Updates

      1. A retailer can now edit the consumer's contact information on a work order.
      2. The Services page can now be accessed from site search, as well as from Inventory > Products.
      3. Each website's default robots txt file now contains a facebookbot crawl delay of 5, to allow it to crawl each site,  to lower their cumulative impact on our Cart, Checkout, and Product List Page latency.
      4. The Special Orders list page now contains only 20 lines and additional special orders are on following pages to improve page load time and create a better user experience.

      Bug Fixes

      1. The bulk product upload tool will create new products and/or import library products that match the product GTIN.
      2. For retailers using our point of sale, you are once again able to start a Cash Register session.
      3. When a consumer is added to an in-store sale, their existing contact information is now updated.
      4. For retailers still using our legacy order processing, recording store fulfillment will no longer return an error.

      Release 24.41

      1. For retailers on new checkout, consumers will now see their chosen shipping method on the order confirmation page.

      1. Products with a variation name up to 150 characters are now allowed for both product library and retailer created items.

      2. For retailers using new checkout, custom products can now be purchased online.

      Release 24.39

      Bug Fixes

      1. There is now a warning about potential loss of inventory data when attempting to delete a store location.
      2. When uploading a product file or product inventory file there are now more clear error messages if there is an issue with the file import.
      3. For retailers using new checkout, when a store location contains two address lines, both will now appear when selecting that in-store pickup location
      4. For retailers using new Sales the consumer will no longer 

      Release 24.38

      Updates

      1. In a work order, it is now possible to re-send an email receipt after the work order has closed.
      2. The mobile view of a purchase order now displays better on the smaller devices.
      3. On a purchase order, the option to Mark all as Received now has a confirmation message to accept or reject the update.
      4. The work order receipt now includes a section for Estimated Pickup Date.

      Bug Fixes

      1. On some product detail pages, the diagonal line across unavailable items was not placed correctly. This has been corrected.
      2. For retailers whose store name includes a dash, the Store Information page now accepts the special character.

      Release 24.37

      Updates

      1. Several accessibility enhancements were made.
      2. In a work order, it is now possible to print more than one receipt so it can be shared with the customer and used in store.
      3. Service SKUs can now be entered with time estimate in hours and minutes.
      4. The Service SKU upload template now includes example data to make it easier to see the correct format for each element.
      5. It is now possible to print a product price label from the Edit Product screen

      1. The bulk product upload tool now recognizes the fields for size and color
      2. For retailers using our new checkout, retailer created products will no longer return an error when ordered online by a consumer.

      Release 24.36

      Updates

      1. Workstand POS Users are now included in Buy Local Now databases like Weblink.
      2. Service notes on a Work Order are visible to customer and print on receipts. The language on the work order now correctly states that it is visible.
      3. When entering a single Service item, or uploading a list of Service SKUs, you will no longer need to type a decimal for whole-dollar amount pricing. The system will assume a ".00" 

      Bug Fixes

      1. The bulk product upload tool can now be used to upload products with multiple variations and work ordercreate a single product.
      2. On the Sale screen or Work Order when a merchant increases the price with Edit price or percentage discount, the original, crossed out price will not display on the customer receipt.
      3. On the product detail page, all variation elements are now keyboard accessible for better usability by sighted impaired persons

      Release 24.35

      1. Retailers on the Local package are now able to edit shipping methods
      2. When uploading a list of Services, the price field now reflects dollars when no decimal is  entered, and cents when it is.

      1. Retailers who ship products and use Stripe or PayPal are now eligible for an update to a new single page checkout for their consumers.
      2. The Work Order list has been updated so that filters are easier to use.
      3. a SKU is no longer required when using the bulk upload tool to create products.

      1. The issue where some products on a purchase order not being marked as received has been resolved.
      2. For retailers using new checkout, the consumer's phone number field has been updated to allow non-numeric characters

      Release 24.33

      1. When leaving a comment on a Work Order the User name is now visible and associated with the comment.
      2. Bike Description and Service Notes will now appear on a Work Order's printed or emailed customer receipt.
      3. The selling price of a product can now be entered and updated on a received Purchase Order. This price will also be reflected online and in the retailer product catalog.
      4. For retailers using new checkout, online sales are now included in Google Analytics' e-commerce purchase report
      5. For Lightspeed point of sale users who are using Order Exporting, error messages are now more clearly stated.

      1. Consumers can now successfully create and view a wish list.
      2. On the product detail page, when a variation name is more than 30 characters, the dropdown will appear as expected.
      3. There is no longer a potential for a $.01 rounding error for retailers using Order Export and any non-Lightspeed point of sale system.
      4. For retailers using the new checkout format, order notification emails are now being sent as expected.

      1. You can now download a template for a customer list and then upload a formatted list. The upload will provide a downloadable error report if any exist.

      Release 24.21

      Bug Fixes

      1. An in-store sale with a custom product no longer requires a customer to be entered to complete the sale.
        Order Details in Admin should now reflect the right discount applied to the order when PayPal is the payment method.
      2. Any available variation can now be selected on the new product detail page, even when the variation name contains special characters

      1. A database process was updated to reduce blocking and deadlocks on a server which can cause general slowness and page timeouts.
      2. When there are many product image variations on the product detail page the image tiles now display in two aligned rows

      1. The Conversations inbox now displays the customer name along with the phone number so it is easier to know who you are texting.
      2. When clicking to view customer data, a 'skeleton' will display, letting you know that the page is loading.
      3. When creating or receiving a purchase order,  you will now be prompted to save changes when editing a price or receiving product, so you can confirm the changes  before submitting.

      1. When previewing a catalog product the variation selection tiles will now display available images.

      1. The product detail page now shows a tiled view of the available product variations, making it easier to see at a glance what is available
      2. Minimum and Maximum desired quantities can now be entered for each variation on a product 
      3. Uploading a custom product file will now import and create the base products much faster

      1. The Lola template header now correctly displays the font and colors selected when creating a custom template theme.
      2. Deleting a service in the Service Appointment tool no longer creates an error message and can be deleted
      3. Blocking off a date for Service appointments now functions as expected
      4. Editing a customer on an existing sale or work order no longer shows as an error, and updated information is saved
      5. The sidebar menu in Admin will now correctly display the selected parent menu when a menu item is selected

      1. When the Work Order list has a single page, page numbers will not display
      2. Certain Settings sub-pages will now link back to where they were linked from, rather than the main Settings page
      3. Workstand admin users may now delete products in catalogs for Lite subscription users to be able to assist with product issues.

      1. When a Canadian retailer searches for a specific GTIN to add to a Discount, only the version of the product distributed in Canada will appear.

      Bug Fixes

      1. When Service Notes have been added to a work order, up to 4 lines of notes are now visible when the work order is viewed again

      1. The Sale screen will now accept creation of a new customer that does not have an email address entered and the sale will appear on the In-Store sales list

      Bug Fixes

      1. Uploading an image will go through a new check for file size to determine if it's larger than our max allowable size before compression
      2. When a participating Brand is using our Buy Local Now modal, a product modal will now display more than the first 10 results without any adjustments to the map view

      1. The Purchase Order screen now contains a My Price field, prepopulated with your current price if you have already had the product in stock. If not, the price will come from the Workstand product library price. A future update will allow the price to be edited on this screen 
      2. A Purchase Order now includes a label icon to the right of product search which will allow you to print a label for every received product on the purchase order
      3. The Work Order Screen now displays an "Add Notes" link when viewing a work order that has already been created that did not have notes entered

      1. A new customer record can now be saved on a new in-store sale
      2. A work order and a special order can now each have a different customer assigned after the transaction is created. A sale without a special order can only have a customer removed.

      1. The  max image size for any retailer previously over 500kb is now 1000kb

      3. Retailers are now able to configure Website order statuses and In-store sale statuses separately

      Release 24.8

      Bug Fixes

      1. The availability of a manually created product is now accurately reflected on the product detail page.
      2. When the Find in Store message is clicked on a product detail page, the availability is now correct for a product whose quantity was manually adjusted.
      3. Issues with processing a retailer's point of sale data have been corrected.

      1. The Stripe terminal will now allow manual card entry when a card is unreadable via standard swipe/chip methods.

      Release 24.7

      Bug Fixes

      1. When a customer list is uploaded and no new customers were added, there is now a message that states File uploaded successfully, but matched the existing customer data so no changes were made. 
      2. When a quantity on hand is added to an unmapped product, inventory will now be updated to reflect the new amount.

      Updates

      1. Work Orders will now contain a unique sequence ID which will help to facilitate a better work order list view.
      2. When using the Stripe terminal  to accept in-store payments, the Declined error messages that may appear have been updated to more clearly reflect the reason for decline.
      3. The updated Declined messages will also be reflected on the payment section of the sale screen.
      4. WePay was removed as a payment option for all retailers.

      Release 24.6

      Bug Fixes

      1. The Google Product file now saves the UTF safe description rather than generating it each time a file is processed.
      2. Un-mapped products with manually adjusted Quantity on Hand (QOH) will now hold their QOH information correctly.
      3. After completing a work order, when choosing to create new, the prior work order notes and pickup date are no longer visible.

      1. The Workorder List is now sortable by Pickup date promised.
      2. Checkout Settings has been updated to a more modern interface.
      3. In the Google Product File, the words backorder and preorder are now re-labelled as out of stock.

      1. Background images will no longer appear in an incorrect spot on a responsive page
      2. 404 Pages are now cached so that if there are multiple page attempts, it will not cause page speed issues. 
      3. When a credit card is used for an in store sale, and is declined, expired, or other non-approved reason, better messaging will appear on the Stripe terminal
