Shipping Labels

Create and print shipping labels directly from Workstand.

Label Integration Setup

  • Shipping labels will be created and provided by our Shippo integration, so you must first connect your Shippo account or create one. 
  • To begin, navigate in Admin to Settings > Fulfillment > Shipping labels, and click either "Sign Up" or "Connect account". 
    • If you click "Sign Up", you'll be directed to Shippo's website to sign up for an account.
      • When creating a new Shippo account please choose the account type that works best for your business, as all account types are compatible with our integration.
    • If you click "Connect account", please enter your API token and then click "Connect account".

  • Once successfully connected the API status will display as "Connected".

Create a Shipping Label in New Sales

  • To create a shipping label for an online sale, navigate in Admin to Sales > Sales and select the desired sale.
  • In the upper right corner of the sale, click the "More Actions" drop-down, and click "Fulfill".
    • Shipping labels can only be created in the fulfillment screen.
  • Change the quantity to be fulfilled to same amount that was ordered and select "ship from retail store" as the fulfillment option.
  • In the Summary section, check the box "Purchase shipping label for retail store fulfilled products".

    • Click the now blue, "Fulfill products" button to open the Shippo modal.
  • Confirm the shipping information is correct, enter the package details, and click "Next".
    • Once package details have been entered shipping label prices will populate based on what shipping partners you have activated in your Shippo account.
  • Confirm and complete the label purchase by clicking "Buy Label".
    • If you haven't yet set up a payment method for your Shippo account click "Add payment method" to do so. 
    • Once the payment method has been saved in Shippo you will not need to manually enter for every label purchase. 
  • After the label has been purchased print your shipping label by clicking "Print Shipping label" in the modal, and then close the modal.
  • The sale will now indicate the item has been shipped by displaying the tracking number under the item.

  • At the bottom of the sale, there will also be a comment that confirms the label purchase.

Create a Shipping Label in Legacy Orders

  • To create a shipping label for an online order, navigate in Admin to Sales > Website Orders and click the green edit pencil next to the desired order. 
  • Scroll to below the order contents and click "Record Store Fulfillment".

  • In the fulfillment modal, check the "Purchase label for fulfilled item(s)" box, and click "Fulfill Items".

  • The Shippo modal will appear; enter the package dimensions and weight, select the carrier, and click "Next".
  • Review the label charge amount and click "Buy label".
  • You'll then be able to print the shipping label, print a packing slip, or request a label refund. 

  • The shipped items will now reflect that status in the Fulfillment status column in the order contents section.
